What is integrative health coaching?
Integrative health coaching is a collaborative and client centered approach to working with individuals to address their overall well being. The whole person is taken into account including the interdependent roles of mind, body and spirit. An integrative health coach partners with clients in order to guide, empower and support them in achieving their personal goals related to optimizing their health.
what does a typical coaching session look like?
Every session looks a little different depending on the goals you are working on and what you need that day. We usually start with a check in on the previous week’s goal—what worked well and what obstacles you faced. Through open ended questions you will explore your own learnings from the week and inner motivation for change. We will focus the majority of the session on what is most compelling to speak about at that moment. There may be an opportunity for me to provide some education on a topic you bring up that day which I will provide during our session and also provide a resource to reinforce the learning. We may set some homework or goals for the upcoming week. I will always provide you a written summary of our session and your chosen action steps for the week.
What is Integrative Health?
Integrative health is an approach to health that considers multidimensional aspects of wellness. It encourages recognition of the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual.
The individual is an active participant in their health decisions and healing processes, including wellness-oriented lifestyle choices.
